How to Revoke Client Portal Access

If you need to remove a client's access to the portal — for example, after a project ends or if a relationship changes — you can revoke their portal token.

Step 1: Go to the Client's Detail Page

Navigate to Clients and click on the client whose portal access you want to revoke.

Step 2: Click "Revoke Portal Access"

On the client detail page, find and click the "Revoke Portal Access" button. Confirm the action when prompted.

What Happens After Revoking

  • The client's portal link immediately stops working.
  • Any attempt to access the portal will show an error message.
  • The client's data (invoices, proposals, etc.) remains in your system — only portal access is removed.
  • You can re-enable portal access at any time by sending a new portal link.
💡 Tip:

Revoking portal access is non-destructive. No data is deleted. You can restore access by sending a fresh portal link at any time.
