How to Use the Dashboard

The Dashboard is your command center in retaincoda. It gives you a real-time overview of your business — from upcoming tasks and recent activity to financial summaries and quick actions.

Accessing the Dashboard

After logging in, you're taken to the Dashboard automatically. You can always return to it by clicking "Dashboard" in the left sidebar navigation or the retaincoda logo at the top.

Dashboard Sections

Your dashboard is divided into several key sections:

Quick Actions Bar

At the top of the dashboard, you'll find quick-access buttons to perform common tasks without navigating away:

  • New Client — Create a client record instantly.
  • New Invoice — Start a new invoice for any client.
  • New Project — Set up a project and assign it to a client.
  • New Proposal — Draft a proposal for a prospective or existing client.
  • New Task — Add a task to any project.

Billing & Financial Summary

A set of stat cards shows your financial health at a glance:

  • Total Revenue — Sum of all paid invoices.
  • Outstanding — Unpaid invoice amounts.
  • Overdue — Invoices past their due date.
  • Monthly Revenue — Earnings for the current month.

Recent Activity

A live feed of the latest actions across your workspace — new clients added, invoices sent, proposals created, and more. This helps you stay informed about what's happening without checking each section individually.

Upcoming Tasks & Deadlines

A summary of tasks and milestones that are due soon, so you never miss a deadline. Click on any item to jump directly to it.

Project Overview

See your active projects and their current status. Quickly identify which projects need attention based on progress and upcoming deadlines.

💡 Tip:

The dashboard data is specific to your currently selected workspace. If you have multiple workspaces, make sure you've selected the right one from the workspace switcher.

💡 Pro Tip:

Use the global search (Ctrl+S or Cmd+S) from anywhere in retaincoda to quickly find clients, invoices, projects, or any other record.
