How to Manage Projects

The Projects page gives you an overview of all your active and past projects. You can track status, view linked financials, and manage every aspect of client work.

Viewing Projects

Navigate to Projects in the sidebar. The page shows stats (total, in progress, completed) and a list of all projects with their client, status, dates, and budget.

Project Detail Page

Click on any project to see its full details, including:

  • Overview — Project info, status, dates, budget, and description.
  • Milestones — Deliverables linked to this project.
  • Tasks — Todo items and assignments.
  • Invoices — Bills generated for this project.
  • Expenses — Costs associated with the project.
  • Updates — Progress notes and status updates.

Editing a Project

Click "Edit" on the project detail page to update name, client, status, dates, budget, or description.

Changing Project Status

Update the status from the edit page or detail view. Common statuses include:

  • Not Started — Project created but work hasn't begun.
  • In Progress — Work is actively underway.
  • On Hold — Temporarily paused.
  • Completed — All work finished.
  • Cancelled — Project abandoned.

Deleting a Project

Projects are soft-deleted — removal hides them from the active list but preserves the data. Related records (milestones, tasks) remain linked.

💡 Tip:

Use project updates to keep a log of progress. These updates are also visible to clients through the portal.
