How to Send a Proposal

Sharing a proposal with your client is done through the Client Portal. The client receives a link to view the proposal online.

Step 1: Open the Proposal

Navigate to Proposals and click on the proposal you want to send.

Step 2: Review the Proposal

Make sure all line items, amounts, dates, and notes are correct. You cannot easily make changes after the client receives it without causing confusion.

Step 3: Click "Send"

Click the "Send" button on the proposal detail page. This:

  • Changes the proposal status to "Sent".
  • Makes the proposal available in the client's portal.
  • Sends the client a notification (if portal access is configured).

What the Client Sees

The client can view the proposal through their portal link, see all line items and totals, and accept or decline the proposal directly.

💡 Tip:

Make sure the client has portal access before sending. You can send them a portal link if they don't have one yet.
