Understanding Email Preferences
Every email recipient should be able to choose which messages they receive. clientfam adds a Manage email preferences link to application emails so each person can make that choice directly.
Choices Available to Recipients
The preference page offers choices with different scopes.
- Receive all marketing and service emails.
- Stop marketing from the workspace that sent the email.
- Stop marketing from every workspace using clientfam.
- Stop all messages that are not essential.
Security, verification, invitation, and required legal messages may still be delivered when nonessential email is disabled.
How Preferences Affect Campaigns
Recipients who opted out are skipped automatically. Their result appears as skipped in the campaign, so you can distinguish a preference from a delivery failure.
Reviewing a Campaign
A new campaign is saved as a draft before sending. Review the subject, message, and recipient list. You can remove individual recipients while the campaign is still a draft. Once sending begins, the recipient list is fixed.
Monthly Sending Allowance
Your current subscription may set a monthly recipient allowance. The allowance is checked when you send a campaign and is counted separately for each user and workspace.
- Queued, sent, and failed delivery attempts count toward the allowance.
- Draft recipients and people skipped because of their preferences do not count.
- If a campaign needs more recipients than remain in the allowance, it stays unsent so you can adjust the audience or try again in the next month.
Review recipients before sending and use a clear subject so people understand why they are receiving the message.
